history

St Alban’s has been part of our local community for well over 100 years. Since 1888, the Church has gone through three buildings, the first in St Alban’s Road in Kingsgrove (where the government bus depo is) and the other two on the current site on the corner of Canterbury Rd and Victory St. During this time, the Parish has seen branch churches form amongst the local area. It has also been a part of the amalgamations of St. Philip’s McCallum’s Hill, All Saints Redman Estate, St James’ South Canterbury and St Mark’s Clemton Park. This is why St Alban’s Parish is also known as “Belmore with McCallum’s Hill and Clemton Park.”

For over 100 years, the staff and parishioners are thankful to God for the number of years of life and ministry at St. Alban's Belmore. In that time Belmore has grown from a farming area into a popular post-war residential area, and now we see an ever-evolving suburb with a wealth of different cultures, living and working together.

We value being part of this community and serving it with a knowledge of God’s goodness and grace.
